To support the VORTEX-SE field experiment, and winter storms, GOES-14 Imager provided special 1-min data in 2016. The dates were February 1- 25, and April 18 - May 15 which allowed special data set collections for GOES-R algorithm developers, research partners, forecasters, and Proving Ground participants. Another period of special SRSOR data collection is slated for August 9-29, 2016; to support the Aviation Weather Testbed experiment and monitoring tropical activity. GOES-14 will be located near 105 degrees West.
