Third Announcement (PDF)

The main topics of ICWG-2 are:

  • Algorithms
  • Assessments
    • Assessment of level-2 Passive Imager Cloud Parameter Retrievals
  • Climate Applications
  • Weather Applications

The organizing committee cordially invites scientists and researchers from around the world who work in cloud physics and/or the retrieval of cloud parameters from satellite observations to participate in the 2nd Workshop of the ICWG.

Under the umbrella of four Working Groups, i.e., i) Algorithms, ii) Assessments, iii) Climate Applications, iv) Weather Applications, specific topics are addressed by the Topical Groups that have been established at earlier workshops.

The ICWG-2 participants are encouraged to contribute to one (or more) these Topical Groups. The topics and the leads of these Topical Groups are listed in the PDF. Please contact the leads of the Topical Groups and discuss with them how you would like to contribute.

We invite providers of retrieved cloud parameters to participate in the ICWG Assessments led by Prof. Yon-Sang Choi and Dr. Andi Walther. Information on these assessments is available here.

Please check the PDF for the details on the selected golden days, and when and how to submit your data.

It is our pleasure to host the 2nd Workshop of the International Cloud Working Group and we look forward to welcoming you.
