January 22, 2024 (CSPP Geo AIT Framework Version 2.1.0)

  • Version 2.1 production release of the AITF Framework Package, supporting generation of derived geophysical products from GOES-16, GOES-17 and GOES-18 ABI data. This release includes science updates and other significant improvements over the previous beta version.

October 9, 2023 (CSPP Geo GRB Version 1.0.28)

  • Updates to bundled libraries as required by NOAA and explicit support for Rocky 8 and Rocky 9.

December 20, 2022 (CSPP Geo Gridded GLM Version 1.0)

  • Official release of the CSPP Geo Gridded GLM software that creates Gridded GLM products mapped to the ABI grid. This release includes GOES-18 support and statistic files required by AWIPS to perform multi-minute aggregations.

December 12, 2022 (CSPP Geo Geo2Grid Version 1.1)

  • New release of the CSPP Geo Geo2Grid Image creation software that adds support for GOES-18 ABI, GEO-KOMPSAT AMI, FY-4A, and FY-4B AGRI Imagers, ABI Cloud products and the GOES Gridded Geostationary Lightning Mapper products.

December 9, 2022 (CSPP Geo GEOCAT Version 1.1beta1)

  • Beta release of the Version 1.1 GEOCAT software which processes Himawari-8 and Himawari-9 AHI data in HSD and HimawariCast formats. This release includes updated core GEOCAT software, support for Himawari-9, and additional new features.

October 25, 2022 (CSPP Geo GRB Version 1.0.27)

  • Updates to support the DO 11.02.00 change to the ground system to allow continued use of data quality flags with SUVI data. Additional updates include a new GOES-R-Series.xml configuration file and additional minor fixes.

July 19, 2022 (CSPP Geo AIT Framework Version 2.1 Beta 1)

  • Beta release of the Version 2.1 AIT Framework software which processes Level 1 ABI files to create Level 2 derived geophysical products. This release includes preliminary GOES-18 support, significant science upgrades, and several bug fixes from the previous beta version.

  • Beta release of the Version 2.0 AIT Framework software which processes Level 1 ABI files to create Level 2 derived geophysical products. This release includes new products, significant science upgrades, and GOES-17 support for a subset of products.

  • Original release of the Geo2Grid software that supports the creation of high quality GeoTIFF image files easily and efficiently from Geostationary Imager input data files.

December 28, 2016 (CSPP Geo GRB Version 0.4 Prototype)

  • Fourth prototype release of the GRB software package. This release includes performance and logging improvements.

April 6, 2016 (Added Reference output to CSPP Geo GRB v0.3)

  • Users can download a tar file containing reference output from the CSPP Geo GRB v0.3 test case to verify with their own results.

Oct 6, 2015 (CSPP Geo GRB Version 0.3 Prototype)

  • Third prototype release of the GRB software package. This release adds support for the EXIS and SUVI instruments.

June 5, 2015 (CSPP Geo GRB Version 0.2 Prototype)

  • Second prototype release of the GRB software package. This release adds support support for the SEISS and MAG instruments, processing CADU-framed packets in UDP datagrams, and handling dual data streams for Left and Right Hand Circular Polarization.

April 9, 2015 (CSPP Geo GVAR Version 1.0)

  • First release of the CSPP Geo GVAR software package that processes GOES-13 and GOES-15 Imager data in GVAR format, and produces AREA files.

March 11, 2015 (CSPP Geo GRB Version 0.1 Prototype)

  • Pre-launch prototype version of the GRB software package. This release is capable of ingesting data from a simulated GRB data stream, recovering ABI L1 data and GLM L2 payloads and writing output to mission-standard NetCDF files. Later releases will add support for recovering data from the remaining GOES-R instruments: SUVI, EXIS, MAG and SEISS.
