GOES-16 First Light RGB interactives

The Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) samples 16 spectral bands, or wavelengths. "Red, Green, Blue" or "RGB" processing consolidates data from different wavelengths into a blended colorized RGB image. The activities below help demonstrate how combining satellite data from different spectral bands can provide more information about certain scenes, featuring GOES-16 data from January 15, 2017.
