Cycles and Spheres in Earth System Science include the water cycle and hydrosphere, the rock cycle and lithosphere, the carbon cycle and biosphere and the energy cycle and atmosphere. They overlap and interact extensively. This lesson will focus on how satellites help scientist monitor the inter-connectivity of Earth's Cycle and Spheres

In this lesson you will learn about:

  • Satellite perspectives of the water cycle
  • Satellite perspectives of the energy cycle
  • Satelitte perspectives of the rock cycle
  • Satellite perspective of the carbon cycle

Time requirement

This lesson will take about 40 minutes to complete.
