Probabilities, Uncertainties & Units Used to Quantify Climate Change  Concepts

Descriptive statistics are numbers that are used to summarize and describe data. Basic statistic methods are used to compute the mean, standard deviation, and variance of variables. The mean is a measure of the average or central tendency of a continuous distribution. The standard deviation and variance are measures of dispersion, that is, the variability of data. Histograms present a graphical representation of the frequency distribution of the selected variable(s) in which the columns are drawn over the class intervals and the heights of the columns are proportional to the class frequencies.
