Next year’s CIMSS Student Workshop on Atmospheric, Satellite, and Earth Sciences will be held Sunday, 21 June, through Thursday, 25 June 2026. This in-person camp features an exciting five-day agenda in meteorology, astronomy, remote sensing and geology. Participating students stay on campus in lakeside dorms and experience science education, research and technology through hands-on activities, working directly with scientists, graduate students and professors.
To qualify, students must be entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall. There is a lot of interest in this workshop, but space is very limited! Applications will not be posted until February 2026. The deadline for application will be in April 2026. At that point, all the essays will be assessed, and the top 18 students will be accepted.
Cost for 2026 workshop will need to be assessed in early 2026. A $100 deposit is due with each application.
Fees cover housing, food, a water bottle, and transportation for field trips.
Please note that the use of cell phones is prohibited during formal instruction.
