Dates

27-31 July 2008. Check-in time is 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, 27 July. The students return from a field trip at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, 31 July. CIMSS staff will work with parents to accommodate air travel and airport transportation. Additional fees may be required for early arrivals or Friday departures.

How to Apply

All high school students must fill out an application form (htm file, MS Word or PDF), including a signature from their science teacher, with $75 deposit and an essay describing why they want to attend the workshop. Deadline for applications has been extended to May 30th 2008. Fees may be paid to SSEC by check or credit card.

Cost

The cost for the 2008 Summer Workshop will remain $475.00. A $75 fee should accompany all applications; the balance of $400 will be due 6 June 2008, after acceptance into the program. Checks should be made out to Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) or contact us to pay by credit card. The $475.00 fee covers all housing, meals, a T-shirt, and activities during the workshop. Sliding scale scholarships (based on need) are available upon request; otherwise, balance must be received in full by 6 June 2008. All participants must provide their own transportation to and from UW-Madison. CIMSS staff will work with parents to accommodate air travel.
