This loop of GOES-8 visible imagery covers the time period from 17:45 UTC to 22:55 UTC on 21 January 1999, and includes part of the Rapid Scan Operations (RSO) imagery at 5-10 minute intervals. During this period, Arkansas experienced its largest tornado outbreak ever recorded during the month of January.

Several overshooting tops are evident from the subtle texture and shadowing along the tops of the strongest storms.
