19 June 2001 - NOAA-15 Visible + 10.8 Micrometer IR Channel Fader

Hold the left mouse button down as you drag the slider above the image (or use the arrow buttons) to fade between the NOAA-15 visible image and the corresponding 10.8 micrometer IR image at 00:59 UTC on 19 June (7:59 PM CDT on 18 June) 2001. To zoom, click on the "Zoom" button, and then click the "hand" cursor on the image where you want to center the zoom.

About 21 minutes after these images, a tornado struck the town of Siren, Wisconsin, producing F3 damage over a 1/2 mile wide path.
