This loop of GOES-8 10.7 micrometer InfraRed (IR) imagery shows the development of convection over southeastern Indiana and southwestern Ohio on 20 September 2000. The satellite was placed into Rapid Scan Operations (RSO) mode, allowing imagery at 5-10 minute intervals during much of this period.

Xenia, Ohio is located in central Greene county (county outline shown), between Dayton (station identifier KDAY) and Wilmington (station identifier KILM).
