This loop of GOES-8 visible channel imagery shows the smoke plumes from large wildfires buring near Los Alamos, New Mexico (station identifier KLAM) late in the day on 12 May 2000. Near the end of the loop, smoke from fires burning in parts of the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona can also be seen.
