Monthly mean daytime cloud fraction from Terra MODIS
These images are created from the monthly mean level 3 daytime cloud fraction for Terra. The means are from July 2002-April 2006, thus the May and June means were created from 3 months and the rest from 4 months. They are not pixel weighted and on a 1 degree equal angle grid. The Terra daytime equatorial overpass is ascending and occurs at approximately 1:30 pm local.
