Who Should Apply
High school students who love science and have an interest in meteorology!
Students must be entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall. Greatest emphasis will be given to the essay. There has been a lot of interest in this workshop, but space is very limited!
How to Apply

Applications require a short student essay (separate page), parent/guardian signature, science teacher signature, as well as a $100 nonrefundable deposit which can be paid to SSEC by check or contact us to use a credit card . The deadline is 1 April 2024. Checks will not be cashed until the top 18 students have been chosen. - Mail printed and signed form to:
- Medical history and permission forms are completed online through Camp Doc after acceptance.

Cost: $900
Balance of $800 must be paid by 10 May 2024. Payment link will be available in mid-April.
Sliding scale scholarships (based on need) are available upon request.
All participants must provide their own transportation to and from UW-Madison. CIMSS staff will work with parents to accommodate air travel. Additional fees may be required for early arrivals or Friday departures.
Cost covers all housing, meals, a water bottle, and all activities during the workshop.
Please note that the use of cell phones is prohibited during formal instruction.
