Comparing Satellite Images

Here are two faders that let you look at the same scene with different satellite images by sliding the pointer back-and-forth across the image. Explore how different cloud types appear in different satellite images!

1) Visible images(0.6 micron) vs. IR images(11 microns) vs. water vapor (6.7 microns)

2) Compare visible and IR images of the same scene when the sun has set on the east coast but is still shining in the central and western United States.
