The new fire developed just north of the Bonita Springs fire and to the west of the Huntington Mutual Aid fire. A consistent signal is apparent by 1100 UTC. According to the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), the fire was first reported at 1310 UTC, two hours later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"732\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1480 \/ 732;\" width=\"1480\" controls loop src=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/07\/goeswest_abi_radc_true_color_night_s20240711100117_e20240711122617_f30.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Geosphere Night Microphysics RGB, 1001-1226 UTC on 11 July 2024<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>GOES-18 imagery from the Geosphere site, below, shows the growth of the smoke pall from the fire. The pixels are <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/07\/DescribeTheFireEnvironment_1111_11July2024.png\">mostly vegetation<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/07\/DescribeTheFireEnvironment2_1111_11July2024.png\">do not include a Wilderness-Urban interface (WUI)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/07\/DescribeTheFireEnvironment_1111_11July2024toggle.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"331\" height=\"544\" src=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2024\/07\/DescribeTheFireEnvironment_1111_11July2024toggle.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-60311\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Probe Details for one of the identified fire pixels (Click to resize)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>NUCAPS profiles, in this case from Metop-C, shown below, give information that might help a Incident Meteorologist. Forecasts for this area come from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/pdt\/\">NWS forecast office in Pendleton<\/a>.
