Visible (<a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/goes\/OCLOFactSheetPDFs\/ABIQuickGuide_Band02.pdf\"><strong>0.64 \u00b5m<\/strong><\/a>) images centered over southwestern Missouri <em><strong>(above) <\/strong><\/em>included time-matched (+\/- 3 minutes) plots of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/climo\/reports\/230415_rpts.html\"><strong>SPC Storm Reports<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 which showed thunderstorms that produced hail as large as 4.00 inches in diameter and wind gusts as high as 97 mph in Missouri.<em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The corresponding 1-minute GOES-16 \u201cClean\u201d Infrared Window (<a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/goes\/OCLOFactSheetPDFs\/ABIQuickGuide_Band13.pdf\"><strong>10.3 \u00b5m<\/strong><\/a>) images with plots of time-matched SPC Storm Reports\u00a0<em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> indicated that some of the thunderstorm overshooting tops exhibited infrared brightness temperatures in the -65 to -70\u00baC range (darker red to black enhancement).<\/p>\n<p><div style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2023\/04\/230415_goes16_infrared_spcStormReports_KS_MO_AR_anim.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2023\/04\/G16_IR_MO_AR_SVR_15APR2023_B13_2023105_192027_GOES-16_0001PANEL_FRAME00096.GIF\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1280\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">GOES-16 \u201cClean\u201d Infrared Window (10.3 \u00b5m) images, with time-matched SPC Storm Reports plotted in blue [click to play animated GIF | <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2023\/04\/230415_goes16_infrared_spcStormReports_KS_MO_AR_anim.mp4\"><strong>MP4<\/strong><\/a>]<\/p><\/div>As the thunderstorms moved farther northeast, one tornado produced EF1\/EF2 damage in Missouri &#8212;
