which had recently rapidly intensified over the North Atlantic Ocean &#8212; during the 09 December &#8211; 10 December 2022 period (<a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2022\/12\/221209_221210_North_Atlantic_surface_analyses_anim.gif\"><strong>surface analyses<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>A closer view of GOES-16 Air Mass RGB images <em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> includes plots of land-based surface reports &#8212;
