This imagery showed widespread thunderstorms that moved eastward across Montana on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/dailywxmap\/index_20220709.html\"><strong>09 July 2022<\/strong><\/a>, which produced damaging straight-line winds as strong as 78 mph and hail as large as 2.00 inches.<\/p>\n<p>30-second GOES-18 \u201cClean\u201d Infrared Window (<a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/goes\/OCLOFactSheetPDFs\/ABIQuickGuide_Band13.pdf\"><strong>10.35 \u00b5m<\/strong><\/a>) images\u00a0<em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> extended for several hours past sunset, and indicated that the coldest overshooting tops exhibited infrared brightness temperatures around -70\u00baC (darker black enhancement).
