The animation above (<a href=\"https:\/\/ge.ssec.wisc.edu\/viirs-today\/\">derived from imagery at the VIIRS Today website<\/a> &#8212; from <a href=\"https:\/\/ge.ssec.wisc.edu\/viirs-today\/index.php?satellite=n1&amp;product=DNB&amp;date=2022_05_10_130&amp;overlay_sector=false&amp;overlay_state=true&amp;overlay_coastline=true&amp;sector=USA6&amp;resolution=250m\">this sector<\/a>, specifically) shows the light emissions from cities in New Mexico (click <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/05\/NewMexicoDNBMapping.png\">here<\/a> to see the annotated first image with place names), and, notably, fires.  Multiple fires are apparent in the animation.
