The dew point temperature at Madison, Wisconsin dropped from <strong>70\u00c2\u00ba F<\/strong> to <strong>42\u00c2\u00ba F<\/strong> in the 24-hour period following the frontal passage. Also evident on the  MODIS image is a thin light-colored streak (oriented southwest-to-northeast) across northeastern Wisconsin, which was the  <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/archives\/421\" title=\"07 June 2007 tornado damage path\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>damage path from a long-track tornado<\/strong><\/a> that occurred nearly 2 months earlier on 07 June 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/idea.ssec.wisc.edu\/\" title=\"IDEA website\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>IDEA<\/strong><\/a> MODIS aerosol optical depth (AOD) product several days earlier <em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> revealed a high AOD signal <em>(orange to red enhancement)<\/em> over the northern Rocky Mountains region, due to thick smoke from numerous wildfires that were burning in Idaho and western Montana.
