Particles emitted from power plant stacks acted to &#8220;seed&#8221; the surrounding supercooled water cloud droplets, creating a higher concentration of <strong>smaller<\/strong> cloud droplets &#8212; which were more efficient reflectors of incoming solar radiation, making the plumes appear brighter.
