Texas and Oklahoma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div style=\"width: 652px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a class=\"thumbnail\" href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2021\/01\/210130_goes16_trueColorRGB_NM_TX_anim.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2021\/01\/GOES-16_ABI_RadC_true_color_2021030_190112Z.png\" alt=\"GOES-16 True Color RGB images [click to play animation | MP4]\" width=\"642\" height=\"578\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">GOES-16 True Color RGB images [click to play animation | <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2021\/01\/210130_goes16_trueColorRGB_NM_TX_anim.mp4\"><strong>MP4<\/strong><\/a>]<\/p><\/div>GOES-16 <em>(GOES-East)<\/em> True Color RGB images created using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssec.wisc.edu\/software\/geo2grid\/\"><strong>Geo2Grid<\/strong><\/a> <em><strong>(above)<\/strong><\/em> revealed multiple plumes of blowing dust &#8212; which had their sources in drought-stricken portions of <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2021\/01\/210126_NM_drought_monitor.png\"><strong>New Mexico<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/images\/2021\/01\/210126_TX_drought_monitor.png\"><strong>Texas\/Oklahoma Panhandles<\/strong> <\/a>&#8212; moving across Texas in the wake of a cold frontal passage on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/dailywxmap\/index_20210130.html\"><strong>30 January 2021<\/strong><\/a>. Other features of interest included an undular bore that developed ahead of the advancing cold front in Texas, and smaller plumes of blowing dust that originated from a cluster of dry lake beds in central New Mexico late in the day.
