enlarge)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\">CIMSS<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/csppgeo\/\">CSPP<\/a>-Powered <a href=\"https:\/\/geosphere.ssec.wisc.edu\">GeoSphere site<\/a> is now available.\u00a0 This site allows quick access to GOES-16 imagery via Cloud-friendly, flexible (and configurable) software.\u00a0 Data are accessed from the GOES Re-Broadcast (GRB) downloaded via antenna at CIMSS\/SSEC.\u00a0 Significant effort was made to reduce latency.\u00a0 For example,\u00a0 GOES-16 Mesoscale Sectors load within about a minute of their being downloaded, CONUS sectors load within about 8 minutes, and Full-Disk imagery loads within 20 minutes.\u00a0 In addition to the individual bands (1-16), a sharpened True-Color (Daytime) and Nighttime Microphysics (Nighttime) product is available.\u00a0 The data are tiled and only tiles that are needed for the present view are loaded.\u00a0 In addition to still images, animations can be displayed, and a user can choose how many images are in the loop (up to 30), and what the time-step (<em>i.e.<\/em>, &#8216;Pattern Stride&#8217;) is.\u00a0 Users can also share urls so that others can view the same animation.\u00a0 For example, the image above was created with <a href=\"https:\/\/geosphere.ssec.wisc.edu\/#playing:true;coordinate:84361,-845449;num_frames:1;start_time:2021-01-13T17:30:00Z;timeframe:Start%20Time;\">this url<\/a>.\u00a0 Individual frames can be downloaded via a left-click on the image.\u00a0 There is at present no method to download animations directly.<\/p>\n<p>More information on this site is available in <a
