Snowfall during the 03-04 April period included <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">9<\/span> inches in North Dakota, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">11<\/span> inches in South Dakota, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">13<\/span> inches in Minnesota <span style=\"font-style: italic\">(the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic\">12.1<\/span><span style=\"font-style: italic\"> inches that fell in Duluth was the highest daily snowfall for the month of April),<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">18<\/span> inches in Wisconsin, and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">25<\/span> inches in Michigan. The deep snow cover helped minimum  temperatures drop to <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">-3\u00c2\u00ba F<\/span> at Beulah in North Dakota and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">+2\u00c2\u00ba F<\/span> at Roscoe in South Dakota. On the corresponding MODIS false color image <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic\">(below),<\/span> snow cover (and ice crystal clouds) appear as  varying shades of red, while supercooled water droplet clouds appear as shades of white (bare ground appears as cyan colors).
