GOES-12 visible channel imagery <em><strong>(above; <a title=\"GOES-12 visible images (Java animation)\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2007\/03\/070330_g11_vis.html\">Java animation<\/a>)<\/strong><\/em> shows the  smoke plume that drifted south\/southwestward; corresponding GOES-12 3.9\u00c2\u00b5m InfraRed (IR) imagery <em><strong>(<a title=\"GOES-12 3.9\u00c2\u00b5m IR images (Java animation)\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2007\/03\/070330_g11_ir2.html\">Java animation<\/a>)<\/strong><\/em> revealed a local &#8220;hot spot&#8221; associated with the fire.
