GOES-16 \u201cRed\u201d Visible (0.64 \u00b5m)<\/em> images, with SPC Storm Reports plotted in red [click to play animation | MP4<\/strong><\/a>]<\/p><\/div>1-minute Mesoscale Domain Sector<\/strong><\/a> GOES-16 (GOES-East)<\/em> \u201cRed\u201d Visible (0.64 \u00b5m<\/strong><\/a>) images with time-matched SPC Storm Reports<\/strong><\/a> (above)<\/strong><\/em> showed widespread thunderstorms that moved northward across the High Plains during the afternoon and evening hours on 20 May 2020<\/strong><\/a>. There were Above-Anvil Cirrus Plumes<\/strong><\/a> associated with many of these severe storms (VISIT training<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n

The overall spatial scale of this convective complex is also remarkable for Canada as it continues to migrate northwest.<\/p>\n
