especially after <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/11\/181115_surface_analysis_HB.png\"><strong>15 November<\/strong><\/a> once mid-day (18 UTC) temperatures colder than -20\u00baF were seen at reporting stations along the northwest coast.<\/p>\n<p>A sequence of daily Terra\/Aqua MODIS True Color Red-Green-Blue (RGB) images (<a href=\"http:\/\/eosweb.ssec.wisc.edu\/cgi-bin\/eosdb.cgi\"><strong>source<\/strong><\/a>) showed signatures of the increasing of ice coverage.<\/p>\n<p><div style=\"width: 649px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a class=\"thumbnail\" href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/11\/181106_181121_modis_truecolor_Hudson_Bay_anim.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/11\/2018-11-21_1736-1746_HBAY_010403_1KM.jpg\" alt=\"Terra\/Aqua MODIS True Color RGB images, 06-21 November [click to play animation | MP4]\" width=\"639\" height=\"494\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Daily Terra\/Aqua MODIS True Color RGB images, 06-21 November [click to play animation | <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/11\/181106_181121_modis_truecolor_Hudson_Bay_anim.mp4\"><strong>MP4<\/strong><\/a>]<\/p><\/div>A toggle between Terra MODIS True Color and False Color RGB images on 21 November <em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> confirmed that much of the northern half of Hudson Bay contained ice &#8212;
