A <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/archives\/23225\"><strong>Mesoscale Domain Sector<\/strong><\/a> was positioned over the region, providing data at 1-minute intervals &#8212; and &#8220;Red&#8221; Visible (<a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/goes\/OCLOFactSheetPDFs\/ABIQuickGuide_Band02.pdf\"><strong>0.64 \u00b5m<\/strong><\/a>) and Shortwave Infrared (<a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/goes\/OCLOFactSheetPDFs\/ABIQuickGuide_Band07.pdf\"><strong>3.9 \u00b5m<\/strong><\/a>) images<em><strong> (above)<\/strong><\/em> revealed the smoke plumes and thermal anomalies or &#8220;hot spots&#8221;<em> (black to yellow to red pixels)<\/em> associated with some of these larger fires.
