Tracing its origin back to the remnants of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2017_Atlantic_hurricane_season#Tropical_Storm_Rina\"><strong>Tropical Storm Rina<\/strong><\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/tropic.ssec.wisc.edu\/storm_archive\/2017\/storms\/tracks\/19L.track.gif\"><strong>track<\/strong><\/a>), Cyclone Numa had acquired subtropical characteristics, making it a relatively rare <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mediterranean_tropical-like_cyclone\"><strong>Medicane<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eumetsat.int\/website\/home\/index.html\"><strong>EUMETSAT<\/strong><\/a> Meteosat-10 High Resolution Visible (0.8 \u00b5m) images <em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> showed the evolution of the storm on 18 November.
