href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/archives\/25911\">here<\/a>), compared with a reference image from 04 October 2017.\u00a0 The primary nighttime light source for the Day Night Band over land on 31 October was cities (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeanddate.com\/moon\/usa\/portland-me?month=10&amp;year=2017\">since the Moon was below the horizon<\/a>), thus a comparison between <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/11\/DNB_103117_0638_1E-8_EastCoast_PO_labels.png\">the latest image <\/a>with one earlier in the month having different lunar illumination (<a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/11\/DNB_100417_0643_1E-8_EastCoast_Reference_labels.png\">from October 4th<\/a>) highlights regions that experienced significant power outages due to high winds.\u00a0 Clouds will affect the interpretation of the Day Night Band imagery, and a reference Infrared
