The wave packets were perturbing the low-altitude fog and stratus clouds across the region during the morning hours, in advance of a <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/03\/g3_vis_fronts-20170310_151500.png\"><strong>cold front<\/strong><\/a> that was approaching from the north.
