The northern boundary of the GOES-16 &#8216;CONUS&#8217; domain (GOES-16 data do flow into AWIPS at full resolution for this domain) is very close to the US-Canada border (as shown in <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/03\/B01_B16_step_2121_2March2017.gif\">this animation<\/a> of all 16 bands from <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/archives\/23195\">this blog post<\/a>, and also in the animation above). When zoomed out, there is little apparent difference in the two images.
