The GOES-14 satellite was operating in Super Rapid Scan Operations for GOES-R (<a href=\"http:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/goes\/srsor2016\/GOES-14_SRSOR.html\"><strong>SRSO-R<\/strong><\/a>) mode, providing images at 1-minute intervals; Visible (0.63 \u00b5m) images with overlays of SPC storm reports covering Nebraska\/Kansas <em><strong>(above; <\/strong>also available as a large 133 Mbyte<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/05\/160509_goes14_visible_spc_storm_reports_NE_KS_anim.gif\">animated GIF<\/a>)<\/strong><\/em> and Kansas\/Oklahoma<em><strong> (below; <\/strong>also available as a large 130<strong> Mbyte <a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/05\/160509_goes14_visible_spc_storm_reports_KS_OK_anim.gif\">animated GIF<\/a>)<\/strong><\/em> showed the development of the convection during the 1845 UTC to 0115 UTC (3:45 pm to 8:15 pm local time) period.
