click image to play animation; also available as an <a title=\"MP4 animation of MTSAT-2 visible imagery\" href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2014\/01\/140115-21_mtsat_vis_ir_monsoon_low_australia_anim.mp4\">MP4 animation<\/a>)<\/strong><\/em> showed a monsoon low which exhibited a well-defined circulation for several days as it slowly tracked southwestward across the northwestern portion of Australia during the 15-21 January 2014 time period.<\/p>\n<p>The mean seal level pressure analyses from the <a title=\"Australian Bureau of Meteorology\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bom.gov.au\/index.php\"><strong>Australian Bureau of Meteorology<\/strong><\/a> <em><strong>(below;
