There were no buoy reports near the storm center, but one bouy was reporting easterly winds gusting to 37 knots well to the northeast <em>(just north of the occluded front)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 489px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2013\/11\/131111_1106z_modis_wv_occluding_low_anim.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" \" title=\"MODIS 6.5 \u00c2\u00b5m water vapor image, with surface analysis and buoy reports\" alt=\"MODIS 6.5 \u00c2\u00b5m water vapor image, with surface analysis and buoy reports\" src=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2013\/11\/131111_1106z_modis_wv_occluding_low_anim.gif\" width=\"479\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">MODIS 6.5 \u00c2\u00b5m water vapor image, with surface analysis and buoy reports<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Shortly after the time of the MODIS water vapor image, a comparison of 1-km resolution Suomi NPP VIIRS 0.7 \u00c2\u00b5m Day\/Night Band and 11.45 \u00c2\u00b5m IR channel images <em><strong>(below)<\/strong><\/em> showed similar details in the cloud structure as the occlusion process continued.
