A GOES-13 full disk visible image at 11:45 UTC <em><strong>(above)<\/strong><\/em> showed the cloud features on the sun-lit portions of the Earth at that time, along with the large range of surface air temperatures: from -36 F or -38 C in northern Canada to 106 F or 41 C in western Africa (<a title=\"GOES-13 visible image with plot of surface temperature contours\" href=\"https:\/\/cimss.ssec.wisc.edu\/satellite-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2013\/03\/130320_G13_1145Z_VIS_SPRING_EQUINOX_MAP_TEMP_CONTOURS.GIF\"><strong>temperature contours<\/strong><\/a>).
