The intent of this blog is to serve as an easily-searchable (by Category, Date or Keyword) library of meteorological cases from 2006 to present, showcasing a variety of satellite images and products that are available to (or created by) scientists at NOAA’s Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies<\/strong> (CIMSS)<\/strong><\/a>, located at the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Space Science and Engineering Center<\/strong> (SSEC)<\/strong><\/a>. Satellite imagery that is relevant to current\/recent weather events (or commemorating notable historic events) will be featured, along with other pertinent information that provides some meteorological context. This blog replaces the CIMSS GOES Gallery<\/strong><\/a>, which was a less comprehensive collection of events from 1994-2006.<\/p>\n

  3. The SSEC MODIS Direct Broadcast<\/strong><\/a>, SSEC MODIS Today<\/strong><\/a> and VIIRS Today<\/strong><\/a> sites<\/li>\n
  4. The CIMSS Tropical Cyclones<\/strong><\/a> site<\/li>\n
  5. SSEC RealEarth<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  6. Geo2Grid<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  7. CSPP GeoSphere<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
