AWCN11 CWWG Weather summary for Manitoba issued by Environment Canada at 8:51 a.m. CDT Friday 10 June 2016. ==Discussion== Severe thunderstorms developed in southeast Saskatchewan yesterday afternoon then quickly moved into southwestern Manitoba. Numerous reports of hail, strong winds and localized flooding were received. There were also a report of a funnel cloud, but no tornadoes were reported. The following is a summary of weather event information received by Environment Canada. Loonie size hail on Highway 1 at the Manitoba / Saskatchewan border. Toonie size hail in Pipestone. Golfball size hail in Lauder. Nickel size hail in Deloraine, along with reports of flooding. Wind gust to 96 km/h in Killarney. Wind gust to 93 km/h in Somerset. Heavy rain was reported in Selkirk, with reports of flooding. The Manitoba Agriculture station in the area reported 37 mm of rainfall, most of which fell in a 30 minute period.
