This animation of GOES-12 visible channel images shows the eye of Hurricane Dean on 20 August 2007. GOES-12 was placed into Rapid Scan Operations (RSO) at 18:55 UTC, so images were available at 5-10 minute intervals after that time. Note how the low cloud features within the eye region appear to be rotating cyclonically (counterclockwise), as expected.
