This animation of GOES-12 visible channel images shows widespread smoke (hazy areas) associated with large wildfires that were burning in parts of Idaho and Montana on 13 August 2007. In addition, areas of smoke (from previous days of burning) were seen moving over Wisconsin and parts of the western Great Lakes region during the day.
