Lake Effect Snow Bands During the 03-09 February 2007 Period

This daily series of Terra and Aqua MODIS "true color" images shows the well-defined lake effect snow bands that had formed over Lake Erie and Lake Ontario during the 03-08 February 2007 period. Storm total snowfall amounts were as high as 88 inches at Mexico (downwind of Lake Ontario in western New York).
