This animation of GOES-12 10.7 micrometer IR channel images shows the rapid development of a severe thunderstorm that moved over the Kennedy Space Center in east-central Florida on 26 February 2007. This thunderstorm produced hail up to 2.0 inches in diameter along with wind gusts up to 72 mph.
