...NWS Damage Survey for 02/08/2024 Tornado Event - Update #1...

.Update...

Two tornadoes occurred across far southern Wisconsin on the
evening of February 8th, 2024.  These two tornadoes are the
first two documented tornadoes to occur in the state of
Wisconsin in the month of February according to records that
go back to 1950. Following further evaluation of tornado damage on
the northeast side of Evansville, it has been determined that the
Evansville-Lake Koshkonong tornado had maximum wind speeds of 130
MPH, thus confirming the preliminary rating of EF2 on the Enhanced
Fujita Scale.
