16 July: The GOES-East satellite went into safe mode at 2023 UTC (323pm CDT) on 15 July following a spacecraft anomaly. According to NOAA OSPO, the GOES-19 Safehold has been resolved as of this morning and engineers are now working to prepare for restart of the onboard instruments. More information on the recovery timeline will be provided when known.
