16 July: The GOES-East satellite went into safe mode at 2023 UTC (323pm CDT) on 15 July following a spacecraft anomaly. According to NOAA OSPO, engineers are working to restore ABI and expect imaging to resume by 1900 UTC (200pm CDT). Note that image navigation may be slightly degraded for the first hour after imaging starts, which could lead to false detections during this time period.
