This loop of hourly GOES-8 Sounder Total Precipitable Water (TPW) product shows that as the main squall line begins to collapse, sufficient breaks in the cloud field allow the sounder to show a region of residual moisture (TPW around 30 mm, dark blue enhancement) just south of the developing convection in northern Georgia (see the 10:46 UTC image).
