Simulated GOES-12 v. Simulated MODIS IR Bands

This page compares the current GOES-12 Imager 13.3um band with the MODIS 13.3um band.  The images displayed below are simulated bands using AIRS data.  The images were created by convolving radiances and then converting to brightness temperature using an effective wavenumber approach opposed to a monochromoatic conversion.  The difference image below is GOES minus MODIS.
