CSPP Geo Gridded GLM Version 1.1 Release

The CSPP Geo Gridded GLM Version 1.1 release takes GOES GLM Level 2+ products from GOES-16, -17, -18 and -19 and grids them to the ABI fixed grid at 2-km resolution. The following products are created:
- Minimum Flash Area
- Flash Extent Density
- Total Optical Energy
Tiles can optionally be created in an AWIPS-compatible format.
The Version 1.1 release contains the following changes compared to the Version 1.0 release:
- GOES-19 support.
- Target platform is Rocky 8/9 or compatible Linux variant.
- Updated versions of bundled software libraries.
- Bug fixes and various minor improvements.
System requirements:
- Rocky 8 or Rocky 9 64-bit Linux (or other compatible 64-bit Linux distribution),
- 32 GB RAM,
- 6 CPU with an x86-64 instruction set.
This system has been found to be sufficient to process a GLM data stream received from a single satellite, generating full disk Gridded GLM products and tiles in near real-time. This assumes that no other significant processing is occurring on the same machine.
