Dr. Jordan Gerth is a physical scientist and leveraged observations lead at the NOAA National Weather Service Office of Observations, where he serves as an agency subject-matter expert for the scientific and operational applications of satellite imagery and products. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating development and implementation efforts related to weather satellites and their products, remote sensing science, and technical systems, while maintaining collaborations for the exploitation and transition to operations of observations from other NOAA line offices, government agencies, and industry partners.

Jordan is also an honorary fellow at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Space Science and Engineering Center. He is the chair of the American Meteorological Society Committee on Radio Frequency Allocations and member of the AMS Committee on Satellite Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climatology.
